Job Description
To approve duty rosters established by Nurses in charge of Clinical departments
ü To participate in quarterly and annual evaluation of staff performance
ü Proceed in conflict management between Nursing and midwifery staff
ü Implement sanctions measures in case of personnel misconduct and bad service delivery
ü To participate in evaluation of training needs of clinical personnel
ü Participate actively in elaboration of training module
ü Participate in elaboration of plan and organization of continuous on-job training of hospital staff
ü To participate in maternal and child mortality audit sessions
ü Supervision of students nurses and midwives during internship within the hospital
ü Manages and supervises the work of others, directly and through subordinate managers.
ü Direct the development and implementation of effective policies and procedures.
ü Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing/midwifery and related services and make necessary improvements.
ü Understand, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations and policies related to nursing and hospital administration.
ü Analyze and resolve complex problems related to nursing service management.
ü Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others including physicians, nurses, administrators, managers, vendors, contractors and other health care industry personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’ Degree in Nursing
3 Years of relevant experience
- Master’s degree of Nursing
1 Year of relevant experience
- Master’s degree in Midwifery
1 Year of relevant experience
- Master’s Degree in Clinical Medicine and Community Health
1 Year of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine and Community Health
3 Years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery Sciences
3 Years of relevant experience

- Registration certificate and a valid License to practice nursing in Rwanda issued by the professional council
